H2极限运动 Extreme Sports

Extreme sports such as sky diving and skiing are very dangerous and should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree.

修改前

As is known to all, all kinds of extreme sports are dangerous and some people may consider it should be banned. That is a common solution, but I do not agree that it is the best option.

I consider extreme sports should not be banned and we should not overly publicize it on the TV program or the Internet at the same time. It may mislead someone who is very young, not mature enough and does not have ability to distinguish right from wrong. In that case, they may consider those cool things as the latest trend after they watch some extreme sports videos. Therefore, it is highly likely that they will imitate what those extreme athletes do in some videos, which can easily lead to injury or even death of imitators.

So we need to take some measures to deal with those potential risks. From my point of view, video sharing websites such as Youtube or Bilibili should label the video "do not imitate" or something like that. Its function is to prevent people from incorrectly imitating. In the meantime, people engaged in extreme sports should explain in time how they perform those dangerous actions in order to correctly guide those imitators, which I think is going to be very effective in preventing imitators from falling to the wrong path.

In conclusion, although banning extreme sports is able to keep people from getting hurt, it is necessary to warn those people what should they do in extreme sports. Not only can it show our respect for extreme sports and support the development of it, but also protect the safety of those amateurs.

大佬指导后

As extreme sports are known by more and more younger people, they begin to have different opinions on its danger. Some people think it should be banned, while others think it is acceptable. In my opinion, extreme sports should not be banned.

The argument that extreme sports need to be banned is understandable. It may mislead some imitators who is not mature enough and does not have ability to distinguish right from wrong. In that case, they may perceive those cool things as the latest trend after they watch some extreme sports videos. As a result, it is highly likely that they will imitate what those extreme athletes do in some videos, which can easily lead to injury or even death of imitators.

As far as I am concerned, extreme sports do not need to be banned. Firstly, extreme sports is a kind of exercise so it can help you build up your body. Furthermore, advocating extreme sports can carry forward the spirit of perseverance and courage of it. Extreme sports should be publicized to the public in a correct way, rather than being blindly and absolutely banned.

Therefore, we should take some steps to guide people to participate in extreme sports correctly at the same time. Firstly, the media should avoid excessive publicity of extreme sports on TV or the Internet, and should not just blindly emphasize the stimulation of extreme sports and talk little about the danger of extreme sports. By this mean can prevent people from incorrectly imitating. Moreover, the relevant department should set up partitions and warning signs for extreme sports to prevent extreme sports enthusiasts from injuring others. Last but not least, extreme sports enthusiasts should take good personal protection during exercise, such as wearing helmets or knee pads, which can better protect themselves from injury.

In conclusion, blindly and absolutely banning extreme sports is not the best solution. We need to correctly guide people to participate in extreme sports. By doing so can not solely show our respect to extreme sports but also protect the safety of amateurs.

H2政府修建铁路 Governments should spend money on railways

Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

修改前

铁路:

  1. 旅游方便,文化交流

  2. 货品运输

道路:

  1. 同样也重要,交通方便,城市里到处跑

Due to the limitation of government's funds, they have to consider how much they should spend on railways and roads. Some people might think roads need more money to build, but as far as I am concerned, advantages of paying more money on railways outweigh on roads.

If the government spend more money on railways, cultural exchanges between cities will be enhanced and also people's standard of living will be improved. Citizens can take the train to another city or province to do some businesses. At the same time, people from another places are able to travel to this city. However, if there were no railway, it is highly likely that people find it hard to move to another places, which will greatly affect people's quality of life, let along cultural exchanges between cities.

Another benefit is that citizens can have more opportunities to purchase a wide range of products from another places. As the technology and economy has developed by leaps and bounds over the past decades, a growing number of people are willing to shop online. Meanwhile, railway plays an important role in transporting products from one place to another place. Without railway, fewer kinds of products are waiting citizens to buy.

On the other side, government should attach significance to spending money on road construction to some extent. Wider roads and more advanced roads facilities mean that citizens can easily and conveniently commute from their home to their work place. On top of that, they can promote the image of the city, especially when tourists arrive.

In conclusion, I would argue that the government should invest to build many railways and roads, but railways deserves more money.

存在的问题

开头段背景句有点扯淡。需要更多地进行公路和铁路两者的对比。论证不够有力,注意先 general 再 specific,用词可以更加高级。部分语法错误。

With the financial deficiency among some countries, governments are required to consider how their fund should be allocated between railways and roads. Some people think that roads need more money to be developed, but as far as I am concerned, advantages of paying more money on railways outweigh on roads.

If a government spend more money on railways, people's standard of living would be improved. Citizens can take trains to another city or province in a short period, instead of costing time on roads commuting. If there were no railways, it is highly likely that people find it inconvenient to move to another places. This is because traveling on roads would take longer for those who have long journey, greatly running out of people's energy and time.

Another benefit is that trains are able to improve the transport efficiency. Compared with those roads vehicles such as trucks and cars, trains have much bigger capacity thus goods can be delivered sooner. Not only would the efficiency of goods transportation be greatly improved, but also they would promote the development of local tourism.

On the flip side, the argument that governments should attach significance to spending money on road construction is understandable. Wider roads and more advanced roads facilities mean that citizens can easily and conveniently commute from their home to their workplaces. On top of that, they can promote the appearance of a city, especially considering that they would be an important factor to be appealing to tourists thus promoting trade. However, roads still have obvious disadvantages in long-distance travel and heavy transportation and it is difficult to achieve those two points even if the government invests too much money.

In conclusion, governments should value both railways and roads' development, but I believe that railways deserve more money to bring more advantages than roads. This is because railways enable remote journey and transportation achieved more efficient than roads.

H2孩子零花钱 A smaller amount of money to children

Some people say that giving a smaller amount of money weekly to children will help them become more capable as they grow older. Do you agree or disagree?

修改前
  • 经济独立,让孩子知道金钱来之不易的道理

  • 留不住钱,大手大脚,乱花钱

Opinions are divided on whether parents should give their children more pocket money or less to make them more capable when they got older. Some people think that more money should be given to children, but as far as I am concerned, advantages of giving less money to children outweigh giving more.

From the perspective of educating children to be financially independent, giving more money to children can make it harder to integrate into society as they've grown older. It is not uncommon for parents in today's world tend to satisfy the material needs of their children, who are not sensitive to prices. If parents don't restrict the amount of pocket money, their children would perceive the process of earning money as a piece of cake. Therefore, used to spending their parents' money, they could find it not easy to keep pace with the society and achieve financial independence, when their children grow up.

Another downside of giving children more money is that their children would form a bad financial habit. Juveniles usually have no self-control over money and have no idea about what to buy, what to not buy. Meantime, a wide range of goods such as toys and snacks in the store deeply attracted those children with lot of pocket money. So it is highly likely that children spend most of their money even all of them buying those goods. This behavior has an adverse impact on children's savings in adulthood.

In conclusion, I believe that parents should give children less money as they grow older since this not only are beneficial to being financially independent, but also can help children form a good financial habit.

There are opinions divided on whether children's capacity would be built or not by providing them less pocket money every week. Some people reckon that giving more money weekly to their kids will achieve the objective, but as far as I am concerned, more pocket money would bring some disadvantages to shape children's competence through years.

It might become more difficult to educate children to be financially independent by bringing them more money. As the economics developing rapidly these years, the next generation can be satisfied of the material need thus they would be not sensitive enough to prices. As a result, they would not realize the relations between earning money and paying, and the significance of economic independence. If parents do not impose restrictions on the amount of pocket money, their children would not perceive that the process of earning money is not easy. Therefore, those who are used to spending more money every week may loss their capacity in terms of growing towards economic independence.

Another downside of giving children more money is that their children would form a bad financial habit. Juveniles usually have no much self-controlling ability over money and have no idea about what to buy, and what to not buy. When children have more pocket money every week, they are highly likely to purchase those unnecessary products that deeply attract them, such as toys and snacks in the store. Therefore, there is a tendency that children spend most of their money. This behavior has an adverse impact on children's savings in adulthood.

In conclusion, I believe that parents should give children less money as they grow older since this not only are beneficial to being financially independent, but also can help children form a good financial habit.

H2新型产品

In their advertising, businesses nowadays usually emphasise that their products are new in some way.

Why is this? Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

范文

There is now a variety of products that are underlined artfully as new and fresh goods by some commercial advertisement. I reckon that the trend is advantageous in order to help marketing and corporation develop further.

The reasons causing the phenomenon might involve several various aspects. To begin with, merchants advertise products new to the public in order to pursue the improvement of profit. This is because newfashioned and new-style products could grasp those who are obsessed with chasing fashion thus increasing earnings. Moreover, it is undeniable that people are likely to compare with each other from the perspective of popularity thus launching new goods could meet some people's satisfaction. For example, young people who deny the prevailing clothes and foods may be considered outdated by their peers. Therefore an advertisement highlighting a shirt with a new-type design is able to create a trend of popularity and consequently gains such customer acquisition on this background.

As far as I am concerned, this kind of intentional operation is desirable. This is mainly because the benefits can scatter across a great number of enterprises. Driven by a market demand of valuing new products, more industrial firms would regard the incentive of innovation as important. As a result, the development of technology would be given an impulse from the product update, and goods' quality and practicability would be also improved. Therefore, not only is the advertising technique a promotor of technical progress but also it is a producer of economics for society.

In conclusion, the existence of a commercial model that advertises goods new in some way is caused by different factors such as profits growth and market demand. I believe that this is a beneficial development contributing to the development of innovation and technology in many companies.

H2含糖产品

Many manufactured food and drink products contain high levels of sugar, which causes many health problems. Sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar.

Do you agree or disagree?

范文

As an increasing number of high-sugar goods is regarded as a threat to public health, some people believe that the price of products that have a high content of sugar should be raised to control people's sugar intake. I disagree with the opinion to some extent because it would cause more disadvantages rather than merits.

It is undeniable that raising the sweetened products' price can help reduce retail sales thus playing a role in lowering public sugar intake. This is because most people would consider their budget to decide their consumption bundles. If sugary products become more expensive, some people who have a limited budget would not buy them or buy fewer of them. However, this does not automatically mean that it does not have its own limitation and would not bring any drawbacks.

First of all, the more costly label may not work effectively on those who are from relatively affluent backgrounds. Considering the fact that the increase of sugary products' price is slight rather than significant, some people would not take the amount into their accounts. Apart from this, this would also bring some potential damages to the merchant benefit and even the market equilibrium. For instance, the dropped sugar sales may impact some small enterprises and manufacturers from losing their price competitiveness, regular customers and retail profit. Therefore, as far as I am concerned, under no circumstance should the sugary products' price be unthinkingly jacked up for the pure purpose of cutting the sales down.

In conclusion, although forcing up the sweetened products' price could help some people reduce the intake of sugar, this cannot go far with a series of challenges. I believe that making sugary products more expensive is not advisable because it may drive the market negatively with a slight gain.

H2无人驾驶

In the future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers.

Do you think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages?

范文

As technology has developed by leaps and bounds, the invention of driverless vehicles will become picturable in the future, while some debates about pros and cons of popularizing driverless vehicles come into view. As far as I am concerned, advantages that driverless vehicles can bring people outweigh the disadvantages.

On one hand, popularizing driverless car for general use is feasible and advisable. First of all, it is time-saving for people since they will not need to spend a lot of efforts getting a driving license any more thus saving their time. The time spent on training driving skills can be replaced by alternatives, such as developing some hobbies. Besides, those who are inferior in mobility, such as the elderly and disabled, may be more possible to travel to further destinations independently. Therefore, it is worthwhile to develop driverless vehicles.

On the other hand, popularizing driverless car for general use has some potential risks. The widespread use of driverless vehicles may cause a structural unemployment of current drivers. Moreover, development, production and market entry of driverless vehicles require a significantly large amount of capital. If driverless vehicles are vigorously developed, it will increase the financial burden of the government, then the risk of government financial deficit.

I believe that these drawbacks can be modified by the effort of the government and scientists. The government should give the development of driverless vehicles more financial support and publish some policies aimed at transforming labor force from routine driving industry to new fields once the driverless vehicles come into service. Meanwhile, scientists will spare no effort to ensure the safety of using driverless vehicles by all means. For instance, specific roads will be built for driverless vehicles to lower the incidence of traffic accident.

In conclusion, with the effective regulation and governance, it is certain that the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages.

The charts illustrate the usage rate of three different domestic appliances and the number of hours spent on housework in households per week during the one-century period between 1920 and 2019.

The proportion of refrigerators was jumped dramatically from almost nonexistence in the beginning to a full usage rate in 2000, becoming the greatest change among three factors, and the data was stablized lasting the last two decades. By contrast, that of washing machine increased the least by a 35% change over the years even though it experienced a slight decrease in the middle, while the percentage of vaccum cleaner has a stable growth from 30 to 100. Last but not least, it can be also found that a similar utilization rate which is around 50% was approached by all three appliances in the year 1940.

In terms of the housework hours, the time people spent on household chores each week dropped off during these years. Falling steadily from nearly 50 hours per week in 1920 to 20 hours in 2019, the data displayed an apparent decline which is relevant to the climbing usage rate of domestic appliances.

Overall, it is clear that the percentage of three kinds of electrical furniture all increased significantly during the 100-year period, while the time costed on housework weekly is shown as a noticeable drop.
