不怕你词汇量低，就怕你学过最基础的单词都不知道如何使用，背那么多效果不明显（百词斩六七年用户的我路过），其实有好多常见单词咋们都没有掌握其多种用法，不如来了解了解，拓宽自己英语知识面。

H1Most

H2Most + n. 和 Most of + n.

我经常听到 most people 和 most of the people 这样的表达，我经常会 get confused。

其实两者都是常用短语，意思也一样，唯一区别是 most people 更加 informal，而 most of the people 更加 formal。

H1Nothing

nothing 除了什么都没有这个意思，还有很多用法和含义，比如我一直以来都想知道易烊千玺的那首歌《Nothing to lose》的歌名翻译为啥是义无反顾。

H2I have nothing to lose

虽然 nothing to lose 的表面含义是没什么再可以失去了，你可以这么理解：既然什么都不会再失去了，那就勇敢尝试吧，反正不会有损失，毕竟结果不会比现在更糟糕。因此，nothing to lose 是积极向上的一句话，无消极之意。身边的亲人朋友遇到人生低谷时，不妨用 you have nothing to lose 鼓励他们奋发向上。

e.g. You have nothing to lose, why don't you give it a shot？

你都不会再失去什么了，为什么不放手一试呢？

H2”一无所有”的英语表达

1. have nothing at all

   这是一无所有最简单的英文表达，at all 表示根本，可以加强语气。I have nothing at all 就是我根本什么都没有的意思。

2. be as bare as the palm of one’s hand

   bare 是光秃秃的，palm 是手心，意思就是穷的就像是光秃秃的手掌心，表示一个人已经一无所有了。

   e.g. In fact, I am as bare as the palm of my hand. Could you lend me some cash?（事实上，我现在一无所有了，你能借些现金给我吗？）

3. as poor as a church mouse 一文不名；一贫如洗。

   教堂里的老鼠经常找不到食物，所以 as poor as a church mouse 就是说一个人一文不名。

H2be nothing to someone

对____来说是无所谓的

nothing 是无关紧要的

you are nothing to me 你对我而言根本就不重要

e.g. Mary is my first love, but she is nothing to me now.（玛丽是我的初恋，但现在她对我来说已经不重要了）

H2have nothing on someone

A 远远比不上 B

nothing 是没有的意思，所以 you have nothing on me 表示和我比你什么都没有，言外之意就是你和我比差远了。

除此之外，have nothing on someone 也表示警察还没找到某人的犯罪证据。

e.g. I am good at cooking, but I have nothing on Jack.（我擅长烹饪，但是我和杰克比差远了）

H2have nothing to do with you

与你无关

have nothing to do with someone 与……毫不相干

表示处理时，do with 和 deal with 可以互换，但这里的 do with 的意思是有关系，所以 have nothing to do with someone 就是不关你的事。

这句话比较伤情面，大家说的时候语气最好和缓点。

e.g. It has nothing to do with you, so you'd better not cut in.（这件事和你冇得啥子关系，所以你最好别插嘴）

H1Over

over + 时间段 = during

over + 名词 = on

over + 数字 = more than

H1Though | Tho

though = tho，放在句末，是“然而 / 还是”的意思。

e.g. This keyboard is pretty good I guess, not amazing tho.（这键盘我觉得是蛮好的，但还/然而不是惊艳的）

e.g. It was a tough job, he accept it tho. （虽然这是份苦差事，但他还是接受了）

e.g. I like this, not the best tho.（我喜欢这个，尽管不是最好的）
